YES! Great record, and thanks for the reminder. ‘Marigolds’ pretty much lived in my car for a few years in high school. ‘CCCP,’ ‘Pleasure Toy,’ and ‘Willow Tree’ are my faves. I liked the next record, but it was never going to clear the bar this one set.
Not for nothing, Danny Chavis was on the Abandoned Albums podcast last fall as well.
Too funny! Yeah, Marvin has always been the low key guy. We played a show with them once and Marvin had no gear. No drums, no hardware, no cymbals. Nothing. That wasn't unusual. The Veldt would sometimes show up with no equipment at all and use everybody else's stuff and completely make you look like shit on your own gear. I let Marvin use my drums and all he said he needed was the bass drum, snare, hi hats and ride cymbal. I asked if he wanted toms and crash cymbals and he declined. He totally blew it away. I haven't seen Marvin in a while, but I know he's still living somewhere around town. Great drummer.

I'll check out that podcast. Thanks for the heads up on that!
And I also gotta note the incredible and original fashion of the twins while their drummer is...not dressed like a rock star.
